The Huskies came to play and looked the part for most of the journey, that was until Deshon Taylor dropped 19pts in a frenzied last quarter that had a packed house on their feet and screaming for more.y

EnviroNZ Franklin Bulls vs SIT Zero Fees Southland Sharks

Zane Waterman starred for the Bulls, leading his team to a gritty win against the Sharks. The American forward continues to grow from week to week and perfectly complements a team that loves to run. The Sharks led by as much as 14pts in this one, but a 29-17 last quarter lifted the home team to victory.

Property Brokers Manawatu Jets vs Go Media Otago Nuggets

What a thriller! The Nuggets reveresed a late deficit to take this game into overtime. Sam Timmings dropped a game-high 29pts and 25rbs in one of the biggest and best performances of teh season. The loss leaves the Jets anchored to the foot of the ladder after five successive losses.

Wellington Saints vs Mike Pero Nelson Giants

Though this one was tied up at half time, yet again the Saints showed their strength with a powerful 56-30 second half. Taane Samuel continued his run of form with plenty of others chipping in.

Sky Tower Auckland Huskies vs SIT Zero Fees Southland Sharks

Both teams went in with a plan to split their weekend, but it was the Sharks jumping out of the blocks and never surrendering the lead. Dom Kelman-Poto starred with a big double-double as six Sharks dropped double digit scoring.

Taylor Hawke's Bay Hawks vs Mike Pero Nelson Giants

What a game! WIth a 47-30 lead at the half it looked like the Hawks were going to fly past a Giants outfit backing up after a tough game in Wellington, but we ended with a buzzer beater after a huge second half comeback by the Giants. As it was, the gallant visitors fell short when Derone Raukawa nailed a clutch jumper from the elbow on the buzzer.

Steelformers Taranaki Mountainairs vs Go Media Otago Nuggets

The Airs are on the board after clinching a comprehensive win over a tired looking Nuggets minus Sam Timmins. There was no denying the home team, they were here to play with smothering defence and quick transition into offence. The Airs had this one in the bag from the get-go with Marcel Jones leading the way.
