The NBL and New Balance today announced a new partnership that will make the global athletic brand an official marketing partner of the Schick 3X3 Cup.
As New Balance continues its growth in the basketball category, the NBL agreement offers the brand the ability to broaden its reach across the league and enhance consumer engagement with NBL fans in New Zealand.
The relationship will officially tip-off with New Balance’s KAWHI campaign, launching Leonard’s first signature basketball shoe across a range of exclusive releases over November and December.
In making the announcement, NBL General Manager Justin Nelson welcomed New Balance to New Zealand’s basketball family.
“New Balance is a global athletic brand of significance and we are really excited to have them join us at a time when basketball is booming across New Zealand,” said Nelson.
“The launch of Kawhi Leonard’s first signature shoe has created a real buzz in New Zealand and it is exciting to have New Balance connecting with the Schick 3X3 Cup to help them launch this great new shoe.
“The Schick 3X3 Cup will be fast, furious and physical. No doubt these are the same trademarks that players are looking for when they lace-up a pair of New Balance’s new Kawhi Leonard shoes,” added Nelson.
The Schick 3X3 Cup tips-off on Thursday November 12 at ILT Stadium Southland. A number of New Balance and Kawhi Leonard Jolly Rancher prizes will be up for grabs across the three-day event.
