Major Boost: Hawks Trio Cleared To Play

The Taylor Hawke's Bay Hawks will go into a R5 double-header on the south island this weekend with their strongest roster of the season to date after a trio of stars were declared fit to play.

The good news for the Hawks comes just a week after Devondrick Walker (back), Derone Raukawa (calf) and Ethan Rusbatch (foot) were all forced to watch on as the Sky Tower Auckland Huskies put the unbetaten Hawks to the sword in a 92-71 win.

In a significant boost, Amercian swingman Walker returns after a three-game absence.

The Hawks play against the Mike Pero Nelson Giants on Saturday night (7:30pm), before a sharp turnaround sees them head to Christchurch for a clash with the Wheeler Motor Company Canterbury Rams on Sunday afternoon (5pm).x

In other team selection news, the Giants will be without Alex McNaught (ankle), while the SIT Zero Fees Southland Sharks remain without Andrew Wheeler (calf) and Alex Pledger (illness).

The Huskies will have a new looking line-up tonight in Wellington when import Justin Bibbs is expected to make his debut against the unbeaten Saints.
