Saints Snare Kane Keil For 2021 Season

The Wellington Saints have locked in small forward Kane Bennett-Keil for the 2021 Sal's NBL season.

A valuable addition to the team, Head coach Zico says of the signing; "We’re thrilled to welcome Kane into the Saints Family. He showed resiliency to thrive and complete his United States’ college career.

"Upon returning to New Zealand he was a key contributor for the Showdown champions, the Nuggets, coming up big in critical games and moments. And, then impressively he showed he wasn’t satisfied with that by displaying further improvement at HoopNation.

"He’s a high IQ and highly skilled player, shooting the ball with a combination of volume and efficiency, while displaying good vision and passing ability. At 23, I believe the foundation is in place for Kane to become a long term high level player, and we’re excited to help him grow into that in Wellington, while also enhancing our ability to play beautiful basketball."

Coming off the back of the Sal's NBL Showdown 2020 Season, Kane is excited about the opportunity to play for the club saying, "I am just blessed to have the opportunity to put on a Saints jersey and try and add to it's already rich history of success."

With Dion Prewster and Taane Samuel already announced as part of the squad, things are shaping up nicely for the Saints with more announcements to be made next week!
